Newegg is one of the most popular places to order computers and computer hardware from. And as someone who has ordered from them multiple times, let me tell you – waiting is hard, especially when you’re excited for the product to arrive!
Anyhow, if you’re shopping on Newegg.com, you may be wondering – how long will it take Newegg to process and ship your order? And from there, how long will it take before your order actually arrives?
These are excellent questions. In this article, I’ll cover everything you need to know, including some tips on how you can receive your order more quickly.
Without any further ado, let’s get started!
How Long Does It Take Newegg To Process And Ship Your Order?
Typically, Newegg will process and ship your order between 1 and 2 business days after the order has been placed, and payment has cleared.
Unlike Amazon however, Newegg will attempt to charge your card as soon as your order is placed, rather than waiting until the product is about to ship. This means that you’ll know immediately if your payment method failed, so you can retry with a new card.
This 1-2 business day timeline is true regardless of the order size, or the amount of locations that your products are shipping from.
Keep in mind that Newegg is a marketplace. In addition to selling products themselves, they also have third-party sellers that can sell and ship products directly to you.
However, the same timeline holds up, even for orders placed through third-party vendors.
Does Newegg Have Any Expedited Shipping Options?
If you’re excited to receive your order as quickly as possible, you’ll be happy to know that Newegg has several expedited shipping options available!
However, the exact options presented to you can vary depending on the item or items that you are purchasing.
Additionally, based on my tests with 10 different third-party sellers, it appears that third-party sellers are able to set their own costs and options regarding expedited shipping. This means that certain expedited shipping options – like 2-day delivery for example, may not be available with all sellers, or for all products.
For products offered by Newegg directly however, you seem to have a few different options!
In the example picture above, I am placing an order on Saturday, July 29th. This means that the order won’t begin the processing stage until the 1st business day – Monday, July 31st.
Here, you can see the standard shipping will have the product being delivered 3-7 days after the order has been processed.
However, Newegg also offers options for guaranteed 3-day shipping, 2-day shipping, and overnight shipping.
Keep in mind that shipping costs are typically quoted by the courier that they’re using. Therefore, the more items you’re ordering – or the larger / heavier they are, the more expensive your shipping will be.
And again, not all expedited shipping options are available for all products. Above, you can see expedited shipping options for a third-party vendor.
Here, they only offer guaranteed 4-day and guaranteed 3-day shipping. They also charge a more expensive flat fee, and are likely profiting extra over what the courier is actually charging to ship the item.
Does Newegg Ship On Weekends?
No, Newegg does not ship on weekends.
According to their shipping policies, orders are not processed on Saturdays, or U.S. holidays. A full list of federal U.S holidays can be found in the table below:

Unfortunately, it is not believed that Newegg processes orders on Sundays, either. While their shipping policies page only mentions Saturdays, their business website states that they do not process orders on Sundays, either.
Additionally, they continuously make references to business days, which do not include Saturdays nor Sundays.
Therefore, we can reasonably assume that Newegg does not process, nor ship orders on weekends in any capacity.
What Shipping Companies Does Newegg Use?
Most commonly, Newegg uses the following couriers – especially when shipping items within the United States:
- USPS
- UPS
- FedEx
However, according to their Seller Portal, third-party merchants are allowed to ship via over 100 different couriers! Therefore, it’s hard to say exactly what company your product will be shipping from, especially if you are located outside of the United States, or you’re ordering from a third-party seller.
Therefore, it’s also possible your order may ship from couriers such as:
- Australia Post
- Canada Post
- DHL
- DHL eCommerce
- DHL Express
- Royal Mail
- XPO Logistics
…Or many others!
Thankfully, the courier information will be available when your product ships, making it easy to know exactly which company will be delivering your order to you.
Note: When placing orders from multiple sellers, it’s possible that different items may ship from different couriers.
How Do I Track My Newegg Order?
Thankfully, tracking your Newegg order is easy!
Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email from Newegg with a tracking number to track your order. If you’ve ordered multiple products that are being shipped separately, you will also receive a separate tracking number for each shipment.
You can also click on the Returns & Orders button in the top-right corner of the Newegg website, as long as you’re signed into your Newegg account.
There, you’ll be able to find all tracking information related to your shipment, including any tracking numbers that Newegg has provided. These can be plugged into the courier’s website (or searched on Google usually) in order to get an estimated delivery date for your shipment’s arrival.
If your product is being shipped from overseas – or through a service like DHL eCommerce, it may also be helpful to use a universal tracking tool like Parcels.
This is because certain couriers will actually pass off your package to someone else for the final delivery.
Parcels will check your tracking number against hundreds of different shipping companies, and can provide more detailed tracking information if your shipment changes hands.

However, now that they allow third-party merchants to ship directly to customers, it’s possible that your order may ship from anywhere – including outside the country.
Therefore, you’ll want to check whether you’re ordering from a third-party seller, or Newegg directly.
Note that you can see which country a seller is shipping from by hovering over their name, before adding their item to your cart.
For the quickest shipping speeds, it’s best to order from the same country you’ll be shipping it to. That way, you don’t have to deal with all of the hassles that come with international shipping, such as clearing customs.
