The easiest way to is to use a PayPal Cash Card.
This works just like a regular prepaid debit card would, except it uses your PayPal balance. This also means it can pull from your other cards if necessary, just like PayPal normally does for purchases.
Essentially, it’s basically the exact same thing – only you need the physical card to shop with.
An alternate method is to purchase a Home Depot gift card online, through their store page here.
We recommend selecting the option to have it emailed to you, as this allows it to be instantly redeemed. You can then use this gift card to shop at the retail store, even though it was purchased online using PayPal!
Although it’s an extra step, this effectively allows you to use PayPal for Home Depot purchases without any problems.
Why Did Home Depot Stop Accepting PayPal In Stores?
As mentioned earlier, Home Depot stopped allowing PayPal payments directly way back in 2018.
In the past, you were able to use a PIN system with your mobile phone number. However, this payment method has been discontinued.
Likely, this came down to low demand for the service. Home Depot likely found that not enough customers were using PayPal in order to continue supporting it.
