Why are you reading this post? Let me take a guess – you’re on this blog right now because you want to build your business. You want to learn how to bring more traffic to your website and make more money. You’re looking for new information that will launch your business into insane profits.
Or maybe you’re looking for the real secret to making money online. In which case, you’re making a huge mistake.
Let me tell you a story. When I first started blogging, I wasn’t making much money. I was doing alright, but I knew that it was completely possible for me to be earning so much more. Why the heck were all the marketers around me earning 6 figures when I couldn’t even meet Adsense’s minimum $100 payout each month? What separated me from them? What did they know that I didn’t? Why were they making a ton of money while I was struggling?
The answer may surprise you.
The answer is absolutely nothing. The marketers making 10x what I was earning knew little if any more than I actually did. We weren’t much different – except for one key concept. The concept that actually results in money in your bank account.
Action. The bloggers and marketers who were making a ton of money were the ones who were taking action. Instead of looking all over the web for some non-existent “secret”, they started working NOW and applying the knowledge they already had. They learned as they went. They made mistakes, and they learned from them.
Quit waiting for some “secret” to magically appear in front of your face. It’s already there, you’re just ignoring it.
Stop Thinking, Start Doing!
I bet you have a list of things you need to do right now. I’m even willing to bet you have some excuse as to why you’re not doing them. We’re all guilty of it in some degree, including myself. It’s easy to be lazy – but being lazy does not drive results.
So I want you to pick one thing, and do it today.
- Looking to write a guest post? Start sending emails now.
- Wanting to buff up your social media profiles? Schedule some posts today so you can focus on something else tomorrow.
- Looking to build traffic to your website? Sign up for my free traffic building course. Then actually apply what you learn as soon as you’re done reading.
- Wanting to start a YouTube channel? Read this, then get to it.
- Stuck choosing a niche? (I was guilty of this too) Learn how to choose a profitable one, and then launch your new site.
Don’t wait until tomorrow. Do it right now.
Blogging is competitive. You need to do whatever you can to give yourself an advantage over your competitors. This means you need to be continuously making progress at a rate faster than those you are competing with. If your competitors are taking action today and you’re waiting to do so until tomorrow, you’ve got a real problem.
If you’re going to take the time to start a website, you may as well do it right. You may as well put in all of the hard work required to make it a success. In today’s competitive market, those who are lazy will get left behind while the ones who work hard enjoy all the benefits of financial freedom.
Hey James?
There something I was reading Today about “Law of attraction” where some says you just think of that and you can get it….
Thats what happen with bloggers, we keep on searching for a magical trick through which we can get started and earn in so called 6 figures.
Inspite of that each small steps is what going to help you out in achieving what you want.
“Success comes from experience, and experience comes from bad experiences”
Taking action is the only think which we should start doing if we want to achieve our target in coming days. thats what i can say for a post like this… Take Action…

Spot on. Of course it doesn’t help that there’s a lot of junk out there from internet marketers “promising to make you thousands of dollars without any effort” LOL.
Just like an offline business, starting an online business is a ton of work and only the ones that put in the hard hours will come out rewarded.
Thanks for stopping by Andres and I hope to see you again soon!

Hey James,
You are so right!! My problem is I tend to be a perfectionist – but perfection can never really be achieved.
I’m trying hard to not fuss so much over the details, and just get on with things. I spent so much time fiddle fadlling about getting my blog “just so” – and it’s still not completely how I want it LOL.
Now I have my Google calendar open in a tab of my browser with “tasks” for each day, and I make myself stay at mu desk until I’ve done them.
Have a great weekend. Joy

Hey Joy, thanks for visiting!
I had the same problem for the longest time (I still do in some aspects of my life) but as you said, perfection can’t be achieved. We can get it close – but we can never really achieve it, so it’s a waste of time to try.
Our views are constantly changing so even if we’re satisfied with something today, it doesn’t mean we’ll still be satisfied tomorrow.
And I love Google Calendar! I couldn’t imagine how many meetings, webinars, or other events I’d miss if I didn’t have it around. I just have to get into a habit of adding everything in as soon as I found out about it, LOL.
Have a good week and I hope to see you again soon!

Hi buddy,
Rightly said, we have all learnt how many of the great bloggers earn money. It is either Adsense, e books or affiliate. Not everyone makes money from the same source.
They all have experimented and learnt along the way. We need to do the same and stop searching for secret to make money.
Have a great week. 🙂

Hi Rohan!
I’m glad you mention diversification because it’s SO important, not just in blogging, but in real life as well. You never want to put all of your eggs in one basket. You never know when one income source can be eliminated, so you never want to rely on only one source of income. I’ve been trying to diversify myself recently, not only on my own site but outside of of my websites as well. In the past few months I’ve written two eBooks, gotten more involved with CPA marketing, and have put more money than ever before into my investment portfolio. Diversification is the real key to security.
I also like how you mentioned experimentation. The knowledge you gain from experimenting, especially experiments that fail, really sticks with you and make you better as a result. I can comfortably say I wouldn’t be where I am today if I hadn’t experimented and had a ton of failures.
Have a great week Rohan and I hope to see you again soon!

Hey James,
Nice writing and found this blog from another.
Anyway, I got to agree A LOT about the ‘get doing right now’. Don’t just dream. Start whatever your reader is and start right now 🙂
Good job!

Hi Reginald!
Seems like you’ve got the mindset down. It’s hard these days, because we have so many internet marketers pushing products on us as if there was some huge cheat-sheet to internet success. The internet business takes a bunch of good old hard work just like any job, so you never get anywhere if you don’t just get started!
It’s great to meet you Reginald and I hope to see you again in the future!

Take action, do it today, don’t wait, do what you know then learn something else.
I have a question. Do you think I need to allow comments on my blog?
I’m selling a pecan nut cracker that I invented. It’s not exactly a place for writing unless you know something I don’t. Although I’m sure you do.
Thanks,
James

Hey there,
First off I’m sorry to inform you that I had to change what you put in the name field, unfortunately I don’t allow keywords :(. This is nothing personal, and a lot of blogs will automatically spam people that don’t leave their real name. Something to remember ;).
Anyway, to your question. I would definitely allow comments on the blog, especially since you’re selling something. Allowing comments not only creates additional content for you to be found in search engines from, it also increases trust and credibility. People are far more likely to to buy from someone who is willing to take their time to answer their questions. It’s extra work, yes, but it’s time very well spent.
Now as far as writing goes, there are actually a lot of options. You could really write about anything pecan related and use those articles to promote the nut cracker you’re selling. For example, recipes involving pecans, reviewing other nut crackers vs. your own, any pecan related news etc. If people find your site, they are interested in pecans, so there will be a large amount of people willing to spend money on your product, especially if they trust you.
There may not be a TON to write, but that doesn’t mean you have to avoid writing completely. Remember – every person on your site is a potential buyer!
I saw you enrolled in my traffic course so you’ll be learning about a ton of other great methods here pretty soon.
Hoped this helped, and let me know if you have any other questions, ok?
