What an interesting year it’s been!

Having been away from the internet marketing world for several years, 2019 was an interesting year for me. I decided that now was the right time to return to my blog here on JamesMcAllisterOnline.com, and reignite the personal brand I’ve aimed to build since I started in 2013.

At the same time, my two eCommerce brands – the companies I’ve been running since I left several years ago, have continued to blossom and present their own unique challenges as well.

I’ve learned a lot this year, and while not everything that I’ve tried worked as intended, many things have.

In this post, I’d like to take some time to reflect on 2019 – sharing my successes, my failures, and goals for 2020.

Let’s first start with an overview on the year as a whole.’

How would your business change if you could hire your first full-time employee today, without even spending that much money?

What if you could build out an entire team for the price you pay for just one employee locally?

How much more would you be able to get done if you could hand all of the small day-to-day tasks to somebody else, and focus on working on your business rather than in it?

It’s hard to stay away from a good thing forever.

Just over two years ago, I wrote the final post on what used to be HelpStartMySite.com. I didn’t know it was going to be the final post at the time, but life got away from me. With other companies taking off more quickly than I could manage, I never ended up coming back.

Anyhow, I focused all of my energy into my new ventures, and only now feel like they’re mature enough for me to step back to this place I still feel is home.

Never be afraid to experiment.

You are your own boss. You set the rules.

Much of what we’re taught is moreso guidelines than anything else.

And let’s be real here – if you want change, then change things up. Do what everybody else is doing, and you’ll end up like everybody else.

Take it to the next level. Go above and beyond. Or do it different. It’s the only way you’ll be remembered.

Never be afraid to experiment.

Note: The former name of this website was ‘Help Start My Site.’ It is now ‘James McAllister Online’.

As 2015 comes to an end, it’s time to look forward towards the new year.

2015 was a huge year for me. I came out with 5 new products for Help Start My Site, and went through a lot in my personal world that has fundamentally changes how I have structured my life.

When we grow so drastically in a given year, it’s very hard to keep that pace up and continue accelerating into the future. While I doubt I will ever have another year as significant as 2015 for a very long time, that does not mean I can not continue to grow and make 2016 extremely impactful.

2016 is going to be a very interesting year for me, both within Help Start My Site and outside of it.

Without any further ado, here’s what I’m expecting in 2016.

2015 isn’t yet over, but it’s getting pretty darn close.

Because I plan to talk about my 2016 goals as the first post of 2016 and I want to make sure there is some nice actionable information inbetween, I’ve decided to publish my own review of the 2015 year now, and invite you to share your story as well.
