I recently stumbled upon a new WordPress plugin called MemberPress that would end up becoming an integral part of my website.

This plugin would not only provide the basis of my future membership website, but is also being currently used to host both of my products – my book, and my video course.

I have spent a lot of time with the plugin so far and while I still have a lot to learn, I know enough to give a fair review of MemberPress.

If you’ve been sitting on the fence with MemberPress or you just want to know more about it, read on. There’s a lot to cover!

I’ve been wondering for a while now what the ‘next big thing’ is in terms of internet marketing and product creation, and how us bloggers / entrepreneurs can get in early.

7 years ago, it was smartphones. Big app developers became millionaires overnight as the mobile app market grew into a 10 billion dollar a year industry. A few years ago, Kindle and other eBook platforms took off and are still growing rapidly today. What’s next?

I think e-Learning is going to be the next big thing, specifically with video courses. Why do I say this?

I’m excited to announce that I’ll be releasing my first video course this week, Blogging For Money: Starting Your Very Own Web Business!

This course is loosely based off of my first book on blogging for profit, which has since been pulled off the shelves as I wasn’t satisfied with its quality. Blogging For Money: Starting Your Very Own Web Business has improved upon the book, adding additional detail and covering more topics.

The course will cost $97 and contains ~2 hours of video content. The version that will be published on this site will contain a number of additional bonuses, which I am still developing.

An alternate version will be available on Udemy and other similar e-Learning websites.

The various sections and videos are as follows:

I remember it like it was yesterday…

“Build up a site, throw Google AdSense on it, and collect checks every month!”

The funny thing was, that sort of idea was actually feasible not so long ago. If you had great content and could get people on your site, you actually could make thousands of dollars a month with AdSense alone.

If somebody told me the same thing today, I’d have to wonder what it is they’re going to try and sell me shortly afterwards, because making money from AdSense is not quite as easy as it was just a few years ago. Here are four reasons why building a business around AdSense may be a bad idea, and what I’d do instead if I were starting out today.

When you look back at how things have changed in the internet marketing world over the past 10 years, it’s pretty incredible.

I wasn’t making a living online in 2005, but I have spoken with many marketers who have made it clear that the game was entirely different back then. The internet was still relatively new, it was easier to reach people, and those who started content-rich websites could do well much easier.

Today, it’s completely different. On one hand, people are spending more time and money online than ever before. On the other, everyone and their dog is starting up a website and trying to earn a living from it.

This trend is set to continue, and as technology continues to advance, it’s interesting to see where we’ll be at in 10, or even just 5 years from now. Let’s take a look at what the future of internet marketing has in store for us, and how we can prepare for it now.
