Honey is one of the most delicious sweeteners ever, and there are so many different types of it available.

However, finding it in the grocery store can be a bit of a challenge, especially because it’s so small and hard to see!

Thankfully, it’s almost always found in the same places. In this article, we’ll go over where to find honey at your local grocery store, as well as which brands are carried at each store. We’ll also share some interesting facts about honey and its health benefits.

Let’s get into it!

What Grocery Store Aisle Is Honey In?

Honey

Honey can usually be found in the same aisle as peanut butter, jelly, bread, jams, and spreads like Nutella.

However, in some grocery stores it can also be found alongside other baking sweeteners like sugar, or even in the condiments aisle!

That being said, we recommend looking in the same aisle as peanut butter first, as this is where you’ll most commonly find it.

Almost every grocery store sells at least one brand of honey. So, if you’re having trouble finding it, don’t hesitate to reach out to a store associate for help!

What Are The Best Honey Brands?

From our personal friends and family to professional chefs working in restaurants, we asked a wide variety of people if they had a preference when it comes to their brand of honey.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, most people that were actually able to give an answer recommended raw honey that was sourced locally, and isn’t sold under a brand name at a big retail chain like the stores mentioned above. So, it may be worth looking to see if locally-sourced honey is available in your area.

There’s also a common belief that local honey can desensitize you to allergens – however, there’s been little scientific evidence to prove this is true.

In any case, when it comes to larger established brands, Sourwood and Busy Bee honey were both common answers. That being said, honey is extremely diverse and there are so many different flavors available. We recommend sampling a few if you can, and buying the honey that tastes best to you.

Additionally, if you are using honey in several different dishes, you may wish to buy several brands of honey to suit your dish.

Where Is Honey In Walmart?

Walmart is a large store, and locating honey inside of it can seem like a daunting task.

Fortunately, Walmart almost always stores all of its honey products in the same place. As for the exact aisle number, you can find this by using the Walmart app on your iPhone or Android phone.

Honey On Walmart App

Here, you can see an example product page for Walmart’s private label brand of honey, Great Value. However, take a look at the bottom of the photo.

Below the ‘Pickup today’ text, you can see a section that says ‘Aisle A18.’ This means that in my specific Walmart location, the honey can be found on aisle 18.

Note however that the app will request you to enter in the specific Walmart you plan to shop at, so the aisle number can vary between stores. Additionally, the aisle location will only be displayed for honey that is actually stocked at your store. Honey that needs to be shipped typically won’t be available when you visit your local Walmart.

Is Honey Good For You?

Yes! Honey is good for you, as long as it is consumed in moderation.

Honey has been used as a medicine for centuries. It is known to have antibacterial and antifungal properties. It is also a natural source of antioxidants.

Recent studies have shown that honey can help to improve gut health and reduce inflammation, and is also effective in treating wounds and burns.

Honey is a natural sweetener and can be used in place of sugar in many recipes. It is also a healthy alternative to other sweeteners such as artificial sweeteners.

Keep in mind that honey is a nutritious food and can be a part of a healthy diet. However, it is important to remember that honey is high in sugar and calories, therefore it can lead to weight gain if consumed in high quantities. It’s definitely possible to have too much of a good thing!

What Actually Is Honey Anyway?

Honey is a sweet, sticky substance produced by bees from the nectar of flowers. It’s composed of glucose, fructose, and minerals like iron, calcium, and phosphorus. Honey has been used as a medicine for centuries and is still revered for its healing properties.

Bees collect nectar from flowers and store it in their honey stomachs. The nectar is then broken down into simple sugars by enzymes in the bee’s saliva. As the bee flies back to the hive, the nectar is regurgitated and deposited into the waiting mouths of other bees. This process is repeated until the nectar is fully digested and stored in honeycomb cells.

The bees fan their wings to evaporate the water content in the nectar, which concentrates the sugars and creates the sticky, viscous substance we know as honey. Once the honeycomb is sealed with beeswax, the honey is ready to be eaten.

Conclusion

Typically, honey can be found in the same aisle as peanut butter, bread, and jams.

However, it may also be located in the sweeteners or condiments aisle depending on your specific store.
