  • Should You Blog Every Day?

When starting a new blog, one of the most questionable things is how often you should update it. How often you should publish a new blog post. Some say that if you want to rank above your competitors, you need to publish a new article everyday. But is this true? Should you blog everyday? (more…)

  • Why I Left Your Blog Before Reading A Single Word

Back in the early days of the internet, we as readers were forced to deal with whatever we can get. There weren’t near as many websites out for us to read – we couldn’t pick and choose what websites we wanted to visit. If we wanted something, sometimes we only had one option.

    Those times are gone.

By making one of these five mistakes, you can pretty much ensure your readers will bounce off your website, before reading a single word. This results in a loss in potential revenue. You wouldn’t want that, would you? No, you wouldn’t, so let’s get started with number one. (more…)

  • This One Sentence Could Double Your Blog Traffic!

What if I told you that you could double your traffic with one sentence? One sentence, that would make reading the rest of your article irresistible? One sentence that could put more cash into your pocket? Can you guess what it is? That’s right, it’s your article’s title.
In this post, I’m going to teach you how to write great article titles that will draw in thousands of readers.

The title  is the single most important sentence in your entire article. Why?

The title is what appears in the search engines. Your article’s title is what draws people in from your competitors, and gets them to come to your website instead.

Don’t believe me? Well, guess what? You’re here, reading this article aren’t you? Why? Chances are, the title sparked your interest. The title made you wonder what could possibly double your blog traffic.

What if I had named it “Why You Should Make A Good Post Title”? Not nearly as attractive, am I right? (more…)

  • Should You Really Start A Personal Blog?

You and I, we’re both humans. We like things easy. We don’t want to have to spend our precious time researching things, or going to work, or studying for an exam. We want fun, easy things, and the same idea applies to blogging. But let’s stop and think for a second – should you really start a personal blog?

A personal blog is just that – personal. A blog about your life, your experiences, and your thoughts. What could be easier than blogging about what you already know about, right? But should you actually pursue this idea and spend your time and effort we know is so valuable?

The answer lies within a question – why are you blogging?

If it’s to get your thoughts out to the world, than sure, why not, right? Blogging is relaxing, and when you talk about yourself, it can act as its own sort of therapy. Blog your heart out, put your words and thoughts out onto the internet. Maybe someone will come by and read it, and even leave their thoughts and build a connection to you.

    Or maybe they won’t.

As harsh as this sounds, most people won’t care at all about your life, or what’s going on in it. Unless you’re some sort of celebrity, blogging about your life isn’t going to get you much traffic at all. Does anybody really care? Not really.

So what’s the result of all of this? You won’t make any money off of a personal blog. And this is due to a few reasons.

First of all, traffic makes the world go ’round on the internet. Personal blogs do not get returning visitors, because nobody cares about them. People come to the internet in search of information, not to learn about your life. So what happens when you get no traffic? You get no money.

Secondly, personal blogs have no set topic. Therefore, it’s hard for Google to scan your site and display relevant ads, because your website covers so many different topics. Less relevant ads mean that the few visitors you do get likely won’t click on them.

So to sum it all up – there are reasons to start up a personal blog, and there are reasons not to. Can blogging about your life relieve stress? Yes. But are personal blogs profitable? No, they’re not. If you’re planning on making a personal blog for profit, than forget about it. Trust me – you’ll thank me later.

  • Why Become A Blogger?

What if I told you that one simple thing could relieve stress, make you famous, and earn you a ton of money? In today’s day and age, it’s completely possible for anyone – young to old, rich to poor, master’s degree to high school dropout. And that one thing is blogging. But why should you become a blogger? (more…)

  • 5 Small Tweaks To Drastically Improve Page Loading Times

More so than ever before, speed matters – and your website is no exception. Both your visitors as well as Google expect you to have a website that loads quickly.

A fast loading speed is no longer something that’s nice to have. Today, it’s a requirement.

Websites that load quickly rank higher in search engines, enjoy a reduced bounce rate, and higher engagement. It’s estimated that Amazon would lose $1.6 billion annually if their checkout page loaded just one second slower.

Even if you aren’t a retail giant, it’s estimated that conversion can drop by as much as 7% for every 100 milliseconds that page loading is delayed.

This paints a pretty clear picture – a slow website will directly cost you money. On the flip side, decreasing your page loading times – while not a magic solution – can help you to provide a better experience for your users, and receive more traffic from Google. (more…)
